This experimental footwear collection comes from designer Ying Ou's fear and unease about the rigidity of self-consciousness caused by the physical separation of the human body from the external environment in public space in this era. By exploring the changing position of the subject and the relationship between railings and handrails, and contemplating its psychological spatial perception, the collection explores new forms of footwear that attempt to awaken human communication and perception of objects in public space. And looking for breakthroughs in metal, two-tone leather and 3D printing.

Bio
I am a footwear and accessories designer. After gaining a degree in Fashion Design, I began to focus on the footwear industry out of a strong interest in footwear design, and I gained extensive experience working in design. I then developed myself further on the MA Footwear course at London College of Fashion.

I enjoy exploring the human body, form, and human emotional needs, and as a result a unique personal aesthetic of reflection, sensuality, sculptural sensibility and experimentation can be seen in my work.
