Treehoppers adapt to the environment by quickly changing their appearance through genetic mutations‭. ‬I think this process depicts the essence of human clothing‭.‬
Using treehopper as an inspiration‭, ‬the design explores the human behaviors that they change their own will by obeying requirements of society. The design consists of distorted and exaggerated appearances‭, ‬satirizing the social phenomenon that‭ ‬humans blindly conform to the crowd and become distorted‭. The finished products are ‬consisting of 12‭ ‬leather shoes in a squeezed state.
