I've been always fascinated by the Japanese culture. I wanted to designed a boot that honours the Japanese minimalist, practical and beautiful aesthetics.
These boots are designed to prevent and succesfully treat bunions. The Veg Tan goat leather and horse leather uppers (tanned in small batches by hand in Spain) allow natural breathability and flexibility. A wide toe splay and flat soles provide natural movement.
I used their traditional Kohaze claps as the fastening method.
Made to order using fully traceable materials to source where minimum waste is generated. Boots fully resoleable.

Bio
Handmade Barefoot Shoes
I am a self taught shoe maker and martial artist. My Argentinean great grandfather was a saddler and a 'Gaucho' (Argentinean cowboy). One of his daughters (my great auntie) was a shoe maker in Buenos Aires. Then my father did leather work whilst studying Fine Arts.
In my 20's I started traveling and started doing leather work. Later on I discover this connection that my ancestors had with this material. My passion to Ninjutsu Martial Arts took me to tabi making. From the experience of wearing leather tabi I started making shoes that could mimic the same feeling.
