These boots were designed for my Senior Collection at SCAD, inspired by Norse Mythology and a form of witchcraft called "Seidr". This form of witchcraft is a form of divination and has to do with manipulation of time. One practice which was used during rituals is weaving, and the idea of time mimicking thread, creating webs and new paths, was something that was taught within this form of magic. I decided to use a round braid technique to weave together each panel of leather for these boots. Once i had completed the hand lacing, I carved wooden wedges, and wet molded over the last & wedge.
