REALITY addresses footwear sustainability through AR digital skins and 3D printed biodegradable self-healing technology. Our concept bridges the gap between the physical and digital world, thus tackling overconsumption due to fast fashion.
Fashion is decoupled from the physical shoe as users can change styles with AR skins enabled by RFID. The base shoe is optimised for comfort and sustainability. 50% of its total surface area can be regenerated through a user specific microvascular healing structure, made via 3D printing. Biopolymer healing fluid is circulated by a biomechanic synced pump.
