Treehoppers adapt to the environment by quickly changing their appearance through genetic mutations. I think this process depicts the essence of human clothing.
Using treehopper as an inspiration, the design explores the human behaviors that they change their own will by obeying requirements of society. The design consists of distorted and exaggerated appearances, satirizing the social phenomenon that humans blindly conform to the crowd and become distorted. The finished products are consisting of 12 leather shoes in a squeezed state.
