Based on a story from Plato’s The Symposium, where Aristophanes presents a creation myth that explains why we all have a longing to find our soulmate.

The structure of lines you see represent the chemical component for oxytocin – also known as the love hormone.

One foot represents a body that has oxytocin to give, but nobody to give it to. The other foot represents a body that feels like there is something missing: love. If you look at the shoes next to each other from a side profile, you see that they fulfill each other needs and that together they are one body – just as in Plato’s dialogue

Bio
I am a student born and raised in Belgium, with a passion for international business and shoes. I started with the course "shoedesign" in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium in 2019. Whilst I was also starting my bachelor degree in International Business Management. Although my young age, I have lived in many different place already and had the opportunity to meet lots of different people with different stories. I love hearing these stories. That is also why my overall concept in shoemaking is taking stories and turning them into shoes, as this would allow people to walk through their own story.
